Title
APPROVING STANDARD GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MARGATE, AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FOR THE MARGATE BLUEWAY PROJECT (T1825) WITH MATCHING FUNDS OF $50,000 (CITY), $200,000 (FEDERAL).
BACKGROUND: The City of Margate Parks and Recreation’s Master Plan calls for more infrastructure improvements to increase recreational use of our local waterways. This grant will assist with funding of two (2) ADA accessible canoe/kayak launches located at Winfield Park, and Lemon Tree Lake Park. Wayfinding signs to be installed along the waterway directing/educating the public to nearby parks and amenities.
RECOMMENDATION: To approve
FISCAL IMPACT: $50,000 CITY / $200,000 FEDERAL GRANT
