CONSIDERATION OF A TEMPORARY USE PERMIT (TUP), TO ALLOW AN ANNUAL BRAZILIAN FESTIVAL AT ST. VINCENT CATHOLIC CHURCH 6350 NW 18TH STREET, FROM JUNE 1 - JUNE 2, 2019.
BACKGROUND: The St. Vincent Catholic Church is seeking permission to permit an annual Brazilian festival at 6350 NW 18th Street. Event dates would range from June 1 - 2, 2019, event set-up and take down would take place 3 days prior and 3 days after the event. Applicant is also seeking permission to operate the festival until 11 P.M with an anticipated attendance of 500 or more at any given time; Per Section 3.24, code requires events to close by 10 P.M. unless approved by City Commission for a later time and City Commission approval for 500 or more attendees. This event went before City Commission in 2018 to seek approval for the annual Brazilian festival.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff comments are attached to this item.
FISCAL IMPACT: The application fee was waived for this event because the St. Vincent Catholic Church is a non-profit organization.
