Title
APPROVING 50 PLUS STATEWIDE SENIORS DOMINO GAMES AGREEMENT AND SPONSORSHIP; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: A 50 Plus Statewide Seniors Domino Games Championship, in association with the Florida Senior Games and the Florida Sports Foundation, Incorporated, is scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the Northwest Focal Point Senior Center.
The Host Organization and Host Committee is committed to planning and executing this Event, for seniors 50 years and older, across the state of Florida. The Host Organization will coordinate all aspects of the Event with its Host Committee. As the Host City, the City of Margate would be included in all promotional materials and the oldest player from Margate will receive a medal and cash award.
The Host Organization is seeking City sponsorship of the Event to provide for presentations by the City Commission, promotion of the event, and assistance with clean-up after the Event.
RECOMMENDATION: For approval.
FISCAL IMPACT: Not to exceed $500 of in-kind services
