APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR CAPACITY ALLOCATION IN PHASE 1 OF THE C-51 RESERVOIR BEWEEN PALM BEACH AGGREGATES, LLC AND THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR A REGIONAL ALTERNATIVE WATER SUPPLY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND:                     This resolution is to enter into an agreement with Palm Beach Aggregates, LLC to secure a 2 million gallon per day (mgd) allocation for the C-51 Reservoir Project as an alternative water supply for the City of Margate.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     City Staff recommends approval

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $9,200,000 is anticipated to be to be paid towards the end of FY 2022.  A budget amendment will be done in FY 2020 to set the money aside for this project.
