Title
AUTHORIZING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARGATE COMMUNUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND CRAVEN THOMPSON & ASSOCIATES, INC.
BACKGROUND: The MCRA and Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc., entered into an Agreement for General Engineering Consulting Services dated March 9, 2016. This Agreement provided for an initial term of two years with an option to renew for an additional three (3), one-year extensions (maximum of five years total). The second of the three, one-year extensions was authorized last year and it extended the Agreement through March 9, 2020.
If approved, this Resolution would authorize the third and final, one-year extension of the Agreement, commencing on March 10, 2020 and ending on March 9, 2021. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain the same.
The MCRA plans to issue a Request For Qualification (RFQ) later this year for a new continuing services agreement for general engineering services in 2021 and thereafter.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the one-year extension
