Title
APPROVING LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MARGATE AND THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE TEMPORARY USE OF CRA PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: The City of Margate periodically requests to utilize property owned by the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency (MCRA) for various endeavors. This has included: a staging area for roadway or utility construction, parks and recreation events, general parking of City vehicles, etc. This Agreement outlines each entity’s responsibilities and liabilities when the City utilizes MCRA property.
This Agreement outlines a timely administrative review and approval process for requesting permission to utilize the land. The following is required for such requests:
For use of 14 days or less:
Request must be made 14 days in advance of the first date of use
CRA has 4 days to approve or deny the request
For use of more than 14 days:
Request must be made 30 days in advance of first date of use
CRA has 7 days to approve or deny the request
This Agreement was approved by the MCRA Board at the January 15, 2020 meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: For approval.
