ACCEPTANCE OF THE MCRA’S INDEPENDENT AUDITOR’S REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019
BACKGROUND: The MCRA is considered a component unit of the City of Margate and is included in the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for fiscal year 2018-2019. A copy of the CAFR was provided to the Mayor and City Commissioners by the Finance Department, and it was accepted via motion at the City Commission meeting on March 4, 2020.
The MCRA’s financials for FY 2019 are included in the CAFR and they will be included in the MCRA’s Annual Report which will be distributed prior to March 31, 2020 to the Board Members, City Manager, and taxing authorities.
RECOMMENDATION: To accept the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for FY 2019 audited by Keefe McCullough.
