APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A RIGHT OF WAY CONSENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY AND THE CITY OF MARGATE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE FPL TRANSMISSION EASEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION #58

BACKGROUND:                     The City intends to demolish and replace the Fire Station at 600 N. Rock Island Road (Fire Station #58) which necessitates the construction of certain improvements (asphalt parking area, drainage, dry retention area, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, and underground utilities) within the FPL transmission easement.  This requires the approval of FPL through the Company’s standard Right of Way Consent Agreement.  This agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve and authorize execution of the Right of Way Consent Agreement.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     None.
