Title
AMENDING THE FY 2019-2020 BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING $40,000 FROM THE CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO THE WINFIELD BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS ACCOUNT FOR MEDIAN CONSTRUCTION AND LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION ON WINFIELD BOULEVARD
BACKGROUND: The MCRA is currently working with Carnahan, Proctor and Cross to investigate alternative median design concepts to accommodate regulatory standards for the entryway sign on Winfield Boulevard. The median must be widened to achieve a 4-foot clearance from the sign and the edge of the median. It is estimated the new design will result in median construction costs estimated at about $30,000 (probable cost estimate is attached), and subsequent landscape and irrigation cost of approximately $10,000.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
FISCAL IMPACT: $40,000 to be transferred from the CIP Projects-Contingency account #340-0510-590.91-02 to the Winfield Boulevard Improvements account #340-0510-512.68-56.
