BACKGROUND:                        The Local Service Provider contract provides funding for transportation                                            services for seniors at Northwest Focal Point Senior Center District. The                                            Center provides various types of transportation through this funding source:

                                                                     a. To and from the Center

                                                         b. To local grocery stores and banks

                                                         c. Recreational trips

This is the most requested and most needed service for seniors to maintain their independence and quality of life.

 

Section 52.1 of the Master Contract provides that, “Either party, by written notice to the other party, may terminate this Master Contract and any contract or agreement incorporating this Master Contract by reference in whole or in part when the party determines in its sole discretion that it is in the party’s interest to do so and reasonable notice, no less than thirty (30) calendar days is provided, unless a sooner time is mutually agreed upon in writing. The Contractor shall not furnish any product after it receives the notice of termination, except as necessary to complete the continued portion of the contract, if any. Neither party shall be entitled to recover any cancellation charges or lost profits.”
