Title
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT
BACKGROUND: Steven Fett, Steven Fett Architecture, Inc., has been working with MCRA and City staff on the development and refinement of architectural building design guidelines for the MCRA district over the past months. He presented preliminary design guidelines to the MCRA Board on May 13, 2020. Mr. Fett incorporated the feedback received from that meeting and the expanded design guidelines (approximately 75% complete) which included additional building types and a preliminary color palette were presented to the Board at the August 18, 2020 MCRA meeting.
Since that time, staff directed Mr. Fett to include a chapter on an acceptable Materials Palette and another that focused on Mixed-Use Development. The presentation at this meeting represents a compilation of his work to date.
RECOMMENDATION: For review and discussion.
