Title

RESOLUTION - APPROVING A STATEWIDE MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FLORIDA DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND THE CITY OF MARGATE; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE

Body

BACKGROUND:                     In anticipation of a Federal vaccination site in Broward County, municipalities were requested to ensure that their Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement (SMAA) is executed and up to date. The City’s current Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement, which is self-renewing, was executed in 2001. This agenda item provides for approval of the most recent version of the Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:                     For approval.

FISCAL IMPACT:                     The Division of Emergency Management will pay the costs incurred by an Assisting Party in responding to a request that the Division initiates on its own. Otherwise, reimbursement of costs incurred under this Agreement shall rest with the Requesting Party.
