BACKGROUND:                                           The City commission discussed publicly an interest in having alcoholic beverage sales at Calypso Cove Aquatics Facility. City staff researched this item, found that numerous governmental agencies have acquired this license, and currently operate with this 2COP license to sell beer and wine at Municipal owned recreational facilities. We found that the City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department obtained a 2COP license to sell beer and wine at their City owned and operated Water Park, and sell with City hired staff. The City of Cape Coral has reported zero incidents, and have expressed that they will continue to renew their 2COP license for future operations.

This item was tabled from the 4/21/21 Regular City Commission meeting.
