AMENDING THE FY 2020-2021 BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING $27,000 FROM THE “CIP-PROJECTS CONTINGENCY” ACCOUNT TO THE “COMMUNITY CENTER-DAVID PARK IMPROVEMENTS” ACCOUNT FOR ADDITIONAL PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS
BACKGROUND: A budget transfer of $27,000 for the David Park Improvements project is requested for the following purposes:
1. A retention area was recently constructed adjacent to the new David Park parking lot to accept stormwater runoff from the lot. It was determined that although the retention area serves its intended purpose, its highly visible location on the Park roadway frontage, the relatively steep banks, and its tendency to hold water is not optimal. Three alternative options were evaluated with the exfiltration trench alternative deemed to be both functional and most cost effective.
2. As 11 sabal palms were being removed from the park earlier this year, the contractor was instructed to remove two additional palms that were not included in the contract. This work also included importing of additional fill.

RECOMMENDATION: Approval
FISCAL IMPACT: $27,000 budget transfer from CIP-Projects Contingency account #340-0510-590.91-02 to the Community Center-David Park Improvements account #340-0510-512.63-96.
