Title
AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND M & M LAWN SERVICES, LLC FOR THE INCLUSION OF ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES
BACKGROUND: When the MCRA demolished the building on the property located at 891 North State Road 7, in October, 2019, the lot was graded and sodded. Advanced Asset Management’s agreement was amended at that time to provide for property maintenance services for the property. As such, James Nardi contacted the MCRA’s landscape maintenance company, Landscape Service Professionals (LSP) to obtain a quote for the additional service. Mr. Nardi found LSP’s quote to be too high, but they were unwilling to reduce it so he proceeded to obtain quotes from two other companies for landscape services. The company with the lowest bid was M & M Lawn Services, LLC. Executive Director Cale Curtis approved M & M Lawn Services for the scope of services which include twice monthly cuts and quarterly hedge trimming at an annual cost of $1,920.
The MCRA has been utilizing M & M Lawn Services, LLC for the routine maintenance of its bus shelters since February 19, 2019 when the Board approved a one-year agreement with two, one-year renewals (total three years) with them (copy attached).
The MCRA wishes to amend the contract that it has with M& M Lawn Services, LLC for bus shelter maintenance to also include the additional landscaping maintenance services it provides so that all services are under one umbrella contract.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
FISCAL IMPACT: No additional costs.
