AUTHORIZING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND M & M LAWN CARE, LLC, FOR THE INCLUSION OF ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES

BACKGROUND:                     The MCRA will retain ownership of the Covered Sports Field which is located on MCRA owned property located on the west side of Banks Road adjacent to City owned property located at 1695 Banks Road.  As such, the MCRA will also be responsible for the property’s landscaping and general maintenance.

 

Property manager, Jim Nardi, contacted the MCRA’s current landscape maintenance company, Landscape Service Professionals (LSP), as well as M & M Lawn Care which the MCRA contracts with for bus shelter maintenance and landscape maintenance services for the MCRA property at 891 North State Road 7.  The landscape services at 891 North State Road 7 were approved by the Board as an amendment to their contract via resolution 661 on May 12, 2021.

 

Both LSP and M & M Lawn Care provided quotes for 32 cuts annually for the Covered Sports Field property:  LSP quoted $15,705; M&M Lawn Care quoted $11,264 (copies attached).

 

The MCRA wishes to do a second amendment to the contract with M & M Lawn Care, LLC to include the additional landscaping maintenance services at the Covered Sports Field.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approval

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $11,264 annually.  Funds are available through the Professional Property Maintenance account #140-0510-512.31-38.
