Title
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND RENOVATIONS TO THE FIRE STATIONS, AUTHORIZING WAIVING OF BIDDING FOR SOLE-SOURCE ON RENOVATION AND EQUIPMENT, PROVIDING FOR CONTRACT PRICING; WITH ACQUISITION BEING FUNDED FROM THE FIRE IMPACT FEES AT A TOTAL COST NOT TO EXCEED $625,406.21; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: Impact fees are collected from development of land so as to ensure that new development bears a proportionate share of the cost of capital expenditures necessary to provide fire protection in the city. Funds collected from fire impact fees shall be used for the purpose of capital improvements toward the renovation of fire station facilities and equipment purchases for use in fire protection.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve
