BACKGROUND:                     Palm Lakes Plaza is currently owned by Publix Supermarkets Inc.  On May 4, 2022, the City Commission of the City of Margate approved a special exception use for a Publix drive-thru pharmacy.  The concept that was approved included reconstruction of the Publix store, updates to the plaza architecture, and modifications to the site plan.  As Publix has started demolition for this project, this sign waiver was requested to ensure that the remaining tenants of Palm Lakes Plaza would be able to have wall signage during construction.
