Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AWARDING RFP 2023-016 - STRATEGIC PLAN CONSULTING SERVICES TO BERRY, DUNN, MCNEIL & PARKER, LLC; PROVIDING FOR TOTAL COMPENSATION NOT TO EXCEED $78,600; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BACKGROUND:
Staff advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) 2023-016 seeking a qualified consultant to lead a citywide strategic planning process. The anticipated scope of work includes incorporating input from internal and external stakeholders, and referencing input previously provided by the City's existing and recently conducted studies, to include, but not be limited to the Margate residential survey.
The City received responses to the RFP from five qualified firms. A Selection and Evaluation Committee (SEC) comprised of Cale Curtis, City Manager, Larry Vignola, Assistant City Manager, and Michael A. Jones, Director of Parks and Recreation was formed. A publicly noticed SEC meeting was held and the submissions from the five firms were ranked. The firm Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker was selected by the SEC as the highest ranked firm with 279 total points and is being recommended for contract award.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve award
