Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NO. 2024-007 - SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AVIGILON EQUIPMENT TO CSI VIDEO & SECURITY, LLC; PROVIDING FOR 30% OFF OF AVIGILON’S PUBLISHED MSRP PRICING FOR ALL PRODUCTS AND ACCESSORIES; PROVIDING FOR ESTABLISHED TECHNICIAN LABOR RATES OF $75.00 PER HOUR FOR INSTALLATION AND $65.00 PER HOUR FOR SERVICE WITH A 10% ADD-ON TO SAID LABOR RATES FOR NECESSARY ANCILLARY INSTALLATION ITEMS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND:
The City advertised Bid No. 2024-007 for the Supply and Installation of Avigilon Equipment. Avigilon is a branded supplier of end-to-end security solutions such as security cameras, access control systems, security software and licensing, accessories, etc. In addition to providing for the supply of those security solutions, the bid provides for established hourly rate pricing related to installation and other necessary security solution services.
Three potential suppliers provided bids in response to the City’s request for bids. Staff has evaluated all bids received and recommends award to CSI Video and Security, LLC. The firm’s bid provided the highest percentage discount off of Avigilon MSRP pricing for all bid categories and also the lowest per hour technician labor rates for both installation and service.
RECOMMENDATION:
Award to CSI Video and Security, LLC for an initial three-year period with two one-year renewal options.
FISCAL IMPACT: Approximately $30,000 on average annually depending on needs.
Funded from various budgeted City accounts based on area of need.
