MCRA STAFFING PROPOSAL

BACKGROUND:                     At the MCRA meeting on June 10, 2020, a discussion was held about various possible options for the open Executive Director position which included:

•                     reverting to the prior organizational structure where existing City staff fulfilled the roles of Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director;

•                     re-advertising the Executive Director position; or

•                     hiring a recruiter for the position.

After a thorough discussion, the MCRA Board voted to appoint City Manager Cale Curtis to the Executive Director position with an annual salary of $15,000. Mr. Curtis had been serving as Interim Executive Director since March 26, 2020.                      

 

The Board directed Mr. Curtis to provide his recommendation for MCRA staffing within 30 days.  A proposed organizational chart is attached for review and discussion.
