DISCUSS PROPOSALS FOR HOLIDAY LIGHTING ALONG MARGATE BOULEVARD.

BACKGROUND:                     On behalf of the MCRA, Nick Cucunato, Public Works, received proposals from three vendors for holiday lighting of palm and live oak trees along Margate Boulevard and lighting/decoration options for the clock tower.  Proposals were received from the following vendors:

 

                     Holiday Lighting Designs, Inc.:  $30,870 (does not include a Christmas tree)

                     Brandano Displays: $39,189-$40,598 (includes a 20-foot decorated Christmas tree)

                     Christmas Designers: $35,638 (does not include a Christmas tree)

 

Copies of the proposals are attached.

 

RECOMMENDATION: Mr. Cucunato’s recommended choice is Christmas Designers.                     

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT: $35,638 contingent upon approval of the proposed budget for FY 2018-2019, plus an additional cost of $2,500 for the Christmas tree which would be provided by Brandano Displays.
