Title
A PRESENTATION TO UPDATE THE PUBLIC ON THE STATUS OF PARKS BOND PROJECTS.
BACKGROUND: A General Obligation (G.O.) Bond for Park Improvement Projects was approved by Margate voters in November 2018 providing for the issuance of a bond not to exceed aggregate principal amount of $10,000,00. The bond included the following projects:
1. Calypso Cove - Lazy River
2. Southeast Park Improvements - Artificial turf fields, new playground, and other park improvements
3. Vinson Park Improvements - Baseball dugouts, homerun fencing, playgrounds, batting cages, water feature, concession building, picnic shelter, and walkways.
4. Oriole Park - Convert baseball field into soccer/football field, new playground, water feature, picnic shelter, concession building, and other park improvements.
5. Centennial Park - Parking lot, tennis/pickleball courts, playground, picnic shelter, walkways, and other park improvements.
6. LED Sports Lighting - Retrofit existing sports lighting to LED sports lighting, located at the Margate Sports Complex, and Southeast Park.
