DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION - MARGATE CITY CODE SECTION 3.22 - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES (VIII) - DISTANCE RESTRICTIONS.

BACKGROUND:                     At the August 13th Meeting of the Board of Adjustment, a variance request to locate a restaurant with a liquor license within a 1,000 feet of a day care located in the Peppertree Plan was considered. The restaurant is located in the old Golden Corral building. A copy of the staff report is attached.

 

A copy of the relevant section of the City’s Code is also attached.

 

The day care, Learning City Academy, was approved after receiving a variance due to the location of several liquor licenses within the Plaza. The Board of Adjustment approved the variance for the restaurant. A copy of the draft minutes of the Board of Adjustment meeting are attached.

 

Commissioner Ruzzano requests that this item be placed on the agenda for discussion and possible action.
