BACKGROUND:

Repairs to Bridge on NW 76 Avenue:

The Florida Department of Transportation performed an annual inspection on the bridge over the Ripple canal on NW 76 Avenue 0.2 mile North of Atlantic Blvd. and rated it a "Functionally Obsolete". The Public Works Department has hired one of the City's continuing service contractors to evaluate the bridge and prepare documentation to bid out the repairs.

Repairs to Bridge on Margate Blvd.:

The Florida Department of Transportation performed an annual inspection on the bridge over the Margate canal on Margate Blvd. just West of SR-7 and rated it a "Functionally Obsolete". The Public Works Department has hired one of the City's continuing service contractors to evaluate the bridge and prepare documentation to bid out the repairs.

Replace or Repair Damaged Valley Curbing in Paradise Gardens Subdivisions:

The City of Margate was originally created as a municipality corporation in 1955 that was known as the Town of Margate. In 1961, the Town of Margate was incorporated as a City. In the early 1970's while the city was growing subdivisions of housing were being developed. One of these subdivisions is titled Paradise Gardens and it has several sections within the subdivision.
