RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TWO-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE CONTINUING SERVICES AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND CALVIN, GIORDANO & ASSOCIATES, INC., CHEN MOORE & ASSOCIATES, INC., KEITH ENGINEERING, INC., AND KIMLEY-HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR GENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICES.

Body

BACKGROUND:                     The Margate Community Redevelopment Agency (MCRA) and Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., Chen Moore & Associates, Inc., KEITH Engineering, Inc., and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., entered into a Continuing Services Agreement for General Engineering Consulting Services dated April 14, 2021, pursuant to MCRA RFQ 2021-02 (see Background).  This agreement provided for an initial term of three (3) years with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year term (maximum of five years total).  If approved, the Resolution would authorize the two-year extension of the Agreement, commencing on April 14, 2024, and ending on April 13, 2026.  All other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain the same.

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approval of the two-year extension to the Agreement.

FISCAL IMPACT:                     The MCRA would not incur any costs until services are utilized as part of existing or future projects.   Expenditure limits will then be based upon available budgeted funds in the various Capital Improvement Fund accounts.
